On the occasion of International Danube Day – June 29, appealing for common actions for environment protection and water, Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water – Veliko Tarnovo organizes a briefing under the strategic project “Joint risk monitoring during emergencies in the Danube area border” (RISK), MIS ETC Code 166, financed by CBC Programme Romania – Bulgaria 2007 – 2013.
The briefing will be held on 29 June 2013 at 11:00 in “Hunting lodge” in the town of Svishtov.
Eng. Elena Grigorova – the Director of RIEW – Veliko Tarnovo will present to the participants the state and protection of waters in the Bulgarian part of the Danube river. Eng. Nadezhda Petkova – chief expert in the Inspectorate will present the Danube sturgeon species.
Within the project there was published thematic poster with a message “To reduce the risk for Danube sturgeons in Bulgaria and Romania”, which will be disseminated widely.
The participants in the event will receive information on progress in the implementation of the project “RISK”, which is strategic for the Bulgarian-Romanian border region, as well as advertising and promotional materials dedicated to the International Day of the Danube river and to the environment protection.
